Gozareshgaran’s Urgent Appeal Call:

Gunshots and Fire in Notorious Evin Prison of Iran!

The Lives of the Political Prisoners are in Danger!

To the people of the world,

Freedom loving people!

Based on the published reports and photos on social media networks, on Saturday, 15 October, 2022, Simultaneously, continuous gunshots and fire were heard and seen in Evin prison. According to the same reports, the fire has spread and the siren of the fire brigade has been heard.

The Islamic Republic, not only in past month and along with its brutal suppression of the protesters in the streets, schools and universities, but also during its bloody ruling, has used Evin prison for the imprisonment, torture and execution of the best sons and daughters of our country-Iran, and currently, many arrestees of the recent uprising events in streets, as well as a number of detained university students are held in this prison, which it could lead to a human catastrophe.

We do believe that the ruling tyranny in the past forty-four years, has committed countless crimes against its opposition and dissidents in Evin prison, and now the death’s shadow and long-term imprisonment hangs over each of the detainees.

We do believe that the Islamic Republic will take advantage of such an opportunity for killing of the political prisoners, as it occurred a few days ago in Lakan Prison in the city of Rash, where a number of political prisoners were executed.

We do believe that the fire and continuous gunshots in Evin prison represent the serious situation of the prisoners, and for whatever reason it might be, it will be an opportunity for the ruling criminals to massacre political prisoners and the prisoners of conscience.

We, the signatories of this Appeal Call statement, are deeply concerned about the lives, security and wellbeing of all the prisoners in Evin notorious dungeon of the Islamic Republic.

We, therefor, declare that the responsibilities for the live of each prisoner lies directly on the repressive rulers who keep our fellow countrymen and women in this dungeon and subjecting them to physical and mental torture.

We are also concerned about the lives of the families who are moving and gathering in front of the Evin prison, where the special suppression unit is throwing tear gas at them.
